Working with those struggling with an eating disorder can be both challenging and daunting. Assessing the severity of the eating disorder symptomatology is often not an easy task due to the secrecy of eating disorder behaviors, denial and low motivation. Determining appropriate level of care can also be difficult to evaluate as clients with eating disorders often need various types of treatment during different periods of their eating disorder struggle. This webinar will assist professionals with understanding the components of a comprehensive and on-going assessment when working with complex, compromised eating disorder patients throughout the duration of their recovery. Levels of care in treatment will be discussed which will include making appropriate treatment recommendations based on a patient’s symptom presentation. A case example will be included which will illustrate the intricacies of eating disorder assessment and treatment recommendations.About the Presenter:
Deborah Radzwill, PsyD works as a Team Leader at The Renfrew Center of Florida. She was awarded a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and for the past 8 years she has been treating patients of all ages and ethnicities who suffer from eating disorders and co-morbid pathology. She has been interviewed by Teen Vogue magazine, as well as in local news broadcasts. Additionally, she has taught undergraduate courses at Nova Southeastern University, including “Introduction to Psychology” and “Interpersonal Communication.”
