Food Technology and Sustainability CPE Webinar


Please join the International Food Information Council (IFIC) for a webinar for food and health professionals to present the findings of our 2012 "Consumer Perceptions of Food Technology & Sustainability" Survey on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. EDT.

ABOUT THE WEBINAR
New consumer insights on the awareness and perceptions of various food technologies - including plant and animal biotechnology - will be shared, as well as trends observed over the past 15 years. Timely information on consumer attitudes toward food technology issues of interest such as labeling will also be discussed. New insights on perceptions of sustainability in food production will also be reviewed. Gaps in awareness of food technology and opportunities for communication will be highlighted, along with tips for food and health professionals on communicating with consumers about various aspects of food technology.

Webinar Objectives (The participant will be able to):
Communicate the key takeaways and trends from the 2012 IFIC Survey regarding consumer perceptions of food technology and sustainability.
Identify gaps in awareness and opportunities for communication with consumers regarding food technology and sustainability issues.
Apply understanding of consumer perceptions in communications with consumers about food technology to build awareness and understanding.
CPE Credit 
Participation in the LIVE webinar will qualify for one CDR Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit for Registered Dietitians (RD) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTR).Space is limited, so please register early.
