Diabetes is one of the fastest growing chronic diseases in the United States. That has tremendous implications for health care.

This webinar will discuss how nutrition and meal planning play an important role in diabetes health. The content covers a basic review of diabetes and the mechanism of carbohydrate digestion. We will discuss meal and weight management as they relate to diabetes. Included are discussions on sugar substitutes, glycemic index, fiber, and the importance of understanding food labels.
